Presents For Patients
Sundale Nursing Home along with WPXI Pittsburgh and St. Barnabas charitable foundation co-sponsor the Presents For Patients program in West Virginia. We are currently serving thirteen nursing facilities and matching a total of over 1000 gifts to nursing home and assisted living facility residents. The smiles and appreciation from the residents is worth millions. Sundale matches every resident at least once and some even twice. Our program has much room for growth and we can only hope to expand on services throughout all of West Virginia.
The program starts in July with training sessions for all interested families. The matching actually begins on November 1st. Organizations and individuals can call the Presents for Patients hotline at 304-599-5771 or email dtennant@sundalecare.com and leave a request for:
1. The number of patients
2. Male or female
3. Specify facility if you have a preference
4. Make sure to leave your name, phone number, and address so we can match you with a patient
We will then contact you with the:
1. Name of your residents
2. Their wish list for you to choose from
3. Location of the resident
4. Any specifics, i.e. diabetes, amputee, age, likes and dislikes
We understand that Christmas is a busy time of the year. If you are unable to shop for a specific gift; donations are always accepted and our special Santa's help us with the shopping tasks.
