Nursing
As with any long term care organization, the nursing department forms the central focus or "Heart" of a continuum of care services designed to maintain, restore or improve the quality of life of each and every resident of Sundale.
"Leadership" is the strength of our nursing department. Sundale's nursing team is led by a distinctly conscientious group of nursing managers whose goals are the continuous improvement of care and services for the resident population they serve. Although it would be easy to document a list of accolades for each individual member of our team, we feel our objectives are better served by concentrating on the goals and values of our nurses as a highly skilled care unit where the individual member's strengths are purposefully muted to insure each professional's contributions are maximized to better serve the needs of our residents.

- Emotional Support for residents and families
- Education for residents and families
- IV Therapy
- 24 hour RN coverage
- Enteral feeding / tube feeding
- Tracheostomy care
- Wound care
- Pressure relief mattresses
- Wound care consultant
- Restorative Nursing Service
- Pharmacy consultant to review each resident's drug regimen
- Individualized Nursing Care Plans
- Nursing care geared to individual resident needs
